Geography (Area Description)

Great Wood

Home of the elves. This ancient wood marks the boundary of the Elvin Lands that extends west. These lands are closely guarded and it is unwise for humans to enter uninvited. Along the boarder there are camps used by the elves while they guard their border.

Bearded Peaks

The dwarven lands. The dwarves live mostly under the area known as the bearded peaks. The beareded peaks are mineral rich with Iron, Gold, Copper and Silver.

Dwarf Home

The only well known dwarven city is known as Dwarf Home. It has a road leading up to it’s massive gates. Humans are welcome but it is rare that they travel there. Depending on your knowledge history. The dwarves claim that this entire land was once the dwarven kingdom. The dwarves lived on the planes and foot hills with their mightily holds and cities near the mountains and mines. There was a war with the giants and elves along with a few other catastrophes that caused them to retreat into the most secure mountain holds. It was around that time that they gave up on Arcane magic abandoning it.

Dark North

Deep into the Northern Mountain range is known as the Dark North. Home to giants and humanoids only fools would travel to this land.

Kermose

Northern range

These forbidding mountains are massive and sharp. They protect Keramose from attack but also limit expansion to the north and west. Although humanoid tribes live in the mountains, there power was broken long ago. They pose a threat only when a shaman or charismatic barbarian manages to pull them together for raids. Some of the tribes are learning to trade peacefully, exchanging iron ore and rus for food and gold. Other tribes deeper with in the range resent the flatlanders and prepare ambushes for explorers.

Leverask March

The Leverask March is a mostly fertile planes great for growing grains or raising livestock. It’s southern border is the Serpent’s Tongue a wide dangerous river filled with rapids and rocks. It also has a swampy area as it empties out into the bay. It’s shore line is steep and dangerous. The Southern Bay is the only area accessible by sea.

Marris Dutchy

The Marris Dutchy is tucked into the mountains. The area is mostly steep foot hills with it’s main road winding through foot hills and then a wood land area. The road to Marris meets up with the King’s Road at Two Towns a small city that crosses a river known as the Vein.

Kermose

The area around Kermose is known as the Royal Range. The Capital City is built south of the mountains and the road was said to have been built by dwarves in a long past age.

Old Road

The Old Road is the part of the King’s Road west of Mithloar. It has many small towns and villages along it but is not well guarded. This area is a bit more wild. Many of the people in this area are happy to be left alone. The area is a mix of woods and fertile farm land.

Heart Land

The heart land is the area East of Mithloar south of San Tol and North of Leverask. It is a tame land. Mostly grasslands it is dotted with villages and towns.

San Tol March

The San Tol March is mostly foot hills and mountains. It has a few small towns an villages.

Kermose

Arain

This community to home to the Highhill and Fullmont noble families, who inhabit several of the manors on the southwest end of town. Visitors are warned to respect anyone dressed in finery or displaying arrogance, since the families are powerful and not afraid to proving it.

Arain is a stop on the trade road. It’s five fine fish Inn produces ale famous through out Keramose. There are no temples here but a large open air shrine to the Goddess the Sky is maintained by clergy. The lord of Arain is Culspiir former herald of the previous lord.

The city also has a sizeable port. It is the stop over for trade between kermose and Leverask. Several trading costers have warehouses here.

The royal navy also has a naval port in the city.

Keramose (Royal Capital)

And richest of the cites in Keramose. Keramose is home to the important nobles and merchant houses in the country. The center of the city is the royal palace, which is surrounded by gardens and the buildings of the Royal Court.

The city maintains a large barracks for the famous Royal Riders, plus stockyards and shipyards, and dozens of inns, taverns and feast halls.

Leverask

If Keramose City is the Heart and Mind of Keramose then Leverask is the muscle. Leverask is the core of Keramose’s military might. It houses the Royal Riders and the bulk of the Royal Navy. The city was built to be a fortress to defend against the south. Over the centries it has been sacked several times but is rebuilt stronger. It is often called the Steel City because with each blow it is tempered harder and sharper. Leverask is run by a mayor but is the home of Duke Edmon Alizan III. It also houses several other major nobel families.

Mithloar

Is a crossroads settlement. It servers the nearby farms, a small number o crafts folk who rely on the farmer's goods. Lord Antonious is a quick and efficient ruler. The village maintains a temple to the God of the Harvest but is mainly known for it’s proximity to The Great Wood.

Marris

The City of Marris is a modern city and recently constructed (with in the last 100 years). It is the home of Duke Malichi Marris (known as Malich Du’ Marris a name with Elvin Flare). The city is a major exporter of gems and precious metals It has a major mining operation. It is also know to be a very prosperous and safe city.

San Tol

San Tol is an old city. It was established as a trade point for it’s many mining and smelting operations. It is the main source of Iron, Copper and Silver and Coal for the kingdom. The city is run by the Lady San Tol. It is well fortified and a rather dirty place with it’s furnances.

Kashintar

The Kingdom to the South of Keramose.

Haroon

Haroon is the capital city of Kashintar.
