"GSIS encourages guidebook editors and compilers to include specific information on the cover and preliminary
pages of every guidebook so that this important literature can be identified, acquired, and used by the
geoscience community. The following guidelines are intended to ensure that your guidebook contains the
essential components to become an identifiable and permanent part of the geoscience literature." (From the Guidelines for Authors...., 2005)
It is often helpful to find other guidebooks that have previously been created for the area of your trip. Guidebooks can be difficult to identify and access. The following information may aid you in your search.
