Tips on Publishing Network Research

Instructor: Dan Brass

Dan Brass was one of the pioneers of network analysis in the field of management. He was an editor of ASQ for 12 years, and continues to be a highly active reviewer for many journals. Dan has put together a list of “dos and don’ts” for publishing network research – what the reviewers want to know, what they like and what they don’t like. Included in this mini-module is a checklist for network research design, beginning with: What is the research question? Much of the session will focus on how to “how to write it up,” with special attention to writing the introduction, handling network aspects for the reviewers, and handling revisions.
