Proficiency in this Skill Category enables you to accurately sense enchantments within items or constructions. The range of this skill is affected by your level of SENSE MAGIC or possibly DISCERN SPIRITS in rare cases. If you have no training in these skills, the range is touch. With a cursory examination, you can sense the type of Enchanted Creature, if any, that you are in the presence of, although visual recognition is possible at a distance. The table provided in the appendix section of the rules lists many of the common Enchanted Creatures and Constructs that you may encounter and the skill level required to sense them. If you encounter an Enchanted Creature that has not been mentioned, or that is a higher level than your skill, then you will be informed that it is an “Enchanted Unknown”. Once an Unknown Enchanted Creature that is not included in the appendix has been encountered several times, it will be classed as an 'Enchanted Creature under research'. In several (real time) of being classified in this manner it will be added to the list of Enchanted Creatures in this Skill Category. As with other types of creatures, if you encounter an enchanted creature but are not sure exactly what it is, you will be provided with the group that the Enchanted Creature is a member of.;
Golem Stone Golem, Flesh Golem, Clay Golem and other Golems.
Guardian Gargoyles, Skull Guards, Scarecrow and other contracts to guard an area.
In addition to this, you may take some time to concentrate or meditate on an item or artefact to determine its magical affects.
The time depends on the item but is generally at least five minutes, but no other actions, including moving may be taken at the same time.
