Opera, Exporting Bookmarks

Luckily there is a 3rd party Add-on that makes it easy enough to export your bookmarks called Bookmarks Manager Extension.

Installing it is as easy as clicking on the “Add To Opera” button. If the Add-on doesn’t automatically open the “Bookmark Manager Options” tab you can click on the new bookmark ribbon icon in the top-right corner and press the “Manage and Import” button in the window that pops up.

You should see the below page…

Once the above page is displayed, click the “▶︎ Advanced settings” text and you’ll see an “Export Bookmarks” button. Clicking this button will generate an HTML file called “Opera Bookmarks.html”. On my Mac it saves this file under the “Downloads” folder. Windows users should see the file in a similar folder.

I hope this helps Opera users either jump ship to a different browser or at least get back the bookmarks that rightfully belong to them.
