[KSA 76-1001] Current name in use since 1959. Established by Legislature in 1866 as KANSAS ASYLUM FOR THE DEAF AND DUMB. Name changed to KANSAS INSTITUTION FOR THE EDUCATION OF THE DEAF AND DUMB in 1877.
