Kansas Department on Aging

KANSAS. DEPARTMENT FOR AGING AND DISABILITY SERVICES

On July 1, 2012, under an executive order by Governor Sam Brownback the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) was formed. At that time, certain programs from the then Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA), Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services (SRS) and the Department Health and the Environment (KDHE) were incorporated into KDADS. The KANSAS. DEPARTMENT ON AGING [KSA 75-5901 et seq.], included in this class, was created as an independent agency in 1977. Before 1977 was KANSAS DIVISION OF SERVICES FOR THE AGING (see K-Doc class area SR 4.200). In 2012, it was abolished and its duties assumed by the KANSAS DEPARTMENT FOR AGING AND DISABILITY SERVICES. Included in this class: KANSAS. GOVERNOR'S CONFERENCE ON AGING.
