Flying Winds Emong
Usually I don't fly single line kites, although I love seeing them in the sky. There are, however, exceptions - I love the fighter kites and I also love some of the simple and graceful shapes you can find. The Emong fits both - its more of a glider kite than anything. Give the line some slack and it will glide in which ever direction its nose is pointing. And the simple shape is beautiful against the sky.
It was a spur of the moment purchase from one of the last Calke Abbey kite days I attended, and one I haven't regretted.

This is a very graceful and beautiful kite. Its elegant in the way it glides when given some slack line but does retain a lot of control. I generally have flown it on my fight kite winder and cotton thread as it only comes out in very light wind days (obviously anything more than a light wind would snap the cotton line).
