This indoor/very light wind kite was given too me. The design (and indeed) the kite are a few years old. I had to do some sail repairs - replace the nose, patch some holes, and replace some of the connectors, but nothing too difficult.
The Hot Pepper is actually very small and prefers very short lines (which makes sense for an indoor kite). The frame is very thin solid carbon, as normally used on the stand offs on full size delta kites.
Acquired: March 2004
Width : 118 cm Height : 55 cm Depth : 15 cm Weight : 38 g
Spars : Micro carbon Sail : Polyester
Wind Range : Zero Wind
Cost : Second hand - now discontinued.
Given we have lots of days with no wind here in summer this will be perfect for those conditions. Having said that a full size ultra lightweight kite (like the Benson Innerspace which I had a go on at the same time as flying the Hot Pepper) does perform better. But does cost a lot more!
As soon as I can find a school hall big enough I would like to try indoor flying, and the Hot Pepper seems like a good kite to start with.
But the graphics on the kite are awful.......
