Decathlon Triboard
This was my second kite & was an impulse buy in March 2001 again in Decathlon. I was till quiet ignorant of the different types of kites & in honesty I think I expected something different. However I have enjoyed flying the Triboard very much - it is easy to fly & doesn't need as much wind. In fact give it a strong wind and it is great fun indeed. As it is a two line kite you do all the normal two line things with it, except you can't do slack line tricks as with a normal Delta (if you try it just starts folding up & falls out of the air).
Purchased: March 2001

Spars : n/a Sail : Ripstop Nylon
Wind Range : Medium
Cost : £25.00 (approx.) + £12.00 for lines + £3.00 for handles (although this exact model is not sold anymore similar ones are).
An excellent & fun kite. In fact in many ways I would recommend this more than the Wing 165(or other cheap Delta) if you had to buy only one. The Triboard (or other small dual line parafoil kites) make extremely good 'occasional' fun kites - they are light, pack up small, fly in a large wind range, and easy to fly - and as such are perfect for a family kite for taking on holiday.
Since discovering quad line kites such as the Revolution and getting into power and traction kiting I don't fly this one much myself but my children still have a lot of fun with it.
