I am now in the Springhill Suites near MUSC in their outpatient program. The rooms are really nice and usually go for around $150 a night. We get a special rate of $40 a night! I will be going to MUSC on Wed and Thurs morning for my last two treatments of a very strong immunosuppressant drug called Thymo something and for labs. Then I will probably be going back on Friday morning just for labs and if my numbers are good then I might be able to go home that afternoon.

I have gone from two allergy medications to the following:

Most likely I will only be taking around two or three of these after about three months.

My creatinine is down to 2.6 and my phosphorus is down to 3.2.

The other man who got the other kidney from the donor is doing very well. He had been on dialysis for 12 yrs in New York and moved down here and got this kidney after only 9 months. We saw him going to the surgery and he looked really beat down. When I saw him today he was very happy and energetic.

I thank the Lord that I never had to go on dialysis. He has been very good to me.
