I got my lab results back today and everything is still holding. Creatinine is up to 6.95 so it is still climbing. My parathyroid is a little elevated but it isn't too bad. I can't believe that my phosphorus is still doing so good. It is 3.8, way lower that it was all last year (around 4.5). The Lord is still holding me together and I praise him that I haven't had to go on dialysis.
Arabella is becoming a chunky little baby. She is 17lbs and 26in long! We found out she has C diff so she is on a very strong antibiotic for that. It is expensive but it is covered by medicaid as long as we send it through the tube.
I have added a comments link at the top of this page if anyone wants to comment. Google sites doesn't provide this so you have to go out and find your own code.
I turns out that we didn't get as good a deal on the van as I thought. They told us that the van had already been in a commercial for Toyota of Greer so we watched for it and found out it was advertised at $2,000.00 less than they told us at the dealership. Also, when I took a good look at the contract, it turns out that we paid for the 4yr warranty out of what they paid us for the van. When we confronted them about these things, they said that they adjusted the price because they knew we had a trade-in. However, the man who told us the price was not our salesman and didn't know what we were doing. They were just making the deal look better that it really was. They weren't actually giving us $4,000.00 for our trade-in because they were adding $2,000.00 to the price. I asked him, "what if we decided not to trade in?" He didn't have an answer for that but I could not get him to admit that they lied to us. When it comes to the warranty, I guess since they kept saying that the payments wouldn't change (the loan would just be longer) they weren't saying that they were "giving" us the warranty even thought that is the exact word the salesman used. I am going to cancel the warranty because I had no intention of buying an extended warranty since they are hardly ever worth it. They are checking to see if they can give us the other deal they had offered before this warranty. They had offered us to certify the new van which would give us a 7yr 100,000 mile from manufacture date powertrain warranty for free. The 7rs would take us through the end of this year. If they cannot do this then I will threaten them that I will complain to the local news station, the better business bureau and Toyota corporate themselves about their deceptive sales practices. A lie is a lie no matter how you dress it up. So some advice - Get approved for financing before you go car shopping preferably from a credit union. They you hold all of the power. Do not buy the car the same day. Go home and pray and think about it and go back the next day. Do not go with three tired children whom you have to entertain and get cranky etc. Do not sign papers unless you read them yourself no matter how long it takes or what the finance guy tells you. In fact, I'm not so sure I will ever buy a car from a dealership again. With a private sale, the only things you have to check out is if you can get the financing, if the price is fair and if the car is in good shape. We live and learn. I just thought that we had lived and learned but obviously I'm not there yet. Please pray that this situation would be solved the Lord's way and that he would be glorified no matter what.
