My Garbology is a lesson plan I originally created in the fall of 2013 in my Educational Psychology class, which I rediscovered and was able to implement in my student teaching experience in the fall of 2015. I found the website on Pinterest as I was exploring different ideas for a Sustainability lesson. The main premise of this lesson is to teach students about recycling, reducing their waste, reusing, and composting. The students used Chrome Books to explore the "My Garbology" website presentation in pairs while filling out an accompanying worksheet that I created. If I could teach this lesson again, I would want to present this lesson when I could have more than 35 minutes because the "My Garbology" website presentation took a lot longer to get through then I anticipated. Students are not able to stop, save their place, and come back to where they left off in the presentation, so a lot of the students were not able to get through the entire presentation.
Below are the lesson plans, Smart Notebook presentations, and accompanying materials used to implement the lesson.
