My mission as an elementary educator is:
- To dedicate my life to educating the future generations of students as a whole, both as a learner and as a member of society.
- To continually encourage a passion for learning to my students, and hold them accountable and responsible for their education.
- To foster a safe classroom environment for all children to be able to be successful and take risks in order to build new knowledge.
- To continue to learn and grow as an educator, taking advantage of as many professional development classes and seminars as possible to continue my personal education and be the best teacher to my students.
- To share my organizational skills and positive, upbeat personality with every person I meet, including my students, their families, and my colleagues.
- To collaborate with my colleagues on strategies to improve student learning and improve my teaching style to effectively teach all learners in my classroom.
- To continually encourage my students to achieve at their highest ability, and employing patience with each student as they work to do so.
- To help students and their families realize that every child, regardless of personal backgrounds, deserves the same quality education and challenging learning experiences.
- To encourage students to employ self-learning strategies to turn the world around them into their classroom.
- To care for, value, and respect each of my students every day. I want each child to have no doubt in their mind that I full-heartedly care for them as a person.
- To share my passion for sports and physical fitness with my students, encouraging them to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
