Mark Landsbaum

Adjunct Professor of Journalism at Biola University

  • Mark Landsbaum is a veteran newspaper reporter, nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in 1992 by the Los Angeles Times for a computer-assisted campaign financing investigation and in 2008 by the Orange County Register for coverage of the government of California's confiscation of $5 billion in private funds. He is a columnist, editorial writer, and blogger for the OC Register, and professor at Biola University.

Landsbaum instructs students in reporting techniques, public affairs reporting, and Information Gathering and Database Analysis for Investigative Journalism. He has freelanced for papers such as the Arizona Republic and the Philadelphia Inquirer, and publications including The Christian Examiner, New Wineskins Magazine and the Baptist Press online.

Landsbaum founded and owns Landsbaum Communications, a marketing communications consulting firm specializing in copywriting, design and marketing, and has written or ghostwritten books on investments and business management. In 1997, he launched Smallbusinessresources.com, a business-to-business web portal that provides articles and columns from diverse authors in the business world.

Landsbaum earned his B.A. in journalism from Long Beach State University. He is a member of the Evangelical Press Association and Investigative Reporters and Editors. He resides in Diamond Bar, Calif. with his wife, Jan, who is a small-business columnist at the OC Register.
