Artifact: Student work example from Rock Unit
Reflection: The image included here is a photo taken of one of my students' pages in the packet they worked through with me as we studied rocks. It is an example of how I apply content knowledge and an understanding of how students learn to create meaningful and engaging lessons. To support student understanding, I utilized materials that were familiar for my students to model how the rocks are created. For example, we made sandwiches to showcase the layers in sedimentary rocks. Students not only participated in the creation of each model, but also recorded their experiences on this page to further solidify the information in their own way.
