Description
Artifact One is an agenda from our District Advisory Committee meeting. The District Advisory Committee comprises of community members, educators, and School Board members who share their opinions and perspectives, study issues, and provide recommendations to improve the quality of education for K-M students. The conversation at these committee meetings focuses on PK-12. I was a part of the conversation and a presenter at this meeting.
Reflection
Being part of a district-wide committee has given me a great perspective of the systems and structures across grades from preschool to high school. It has also included the opportunity to work with parents and staff across all levels of schooling as we work to improve transitions from one level to the next. Involvements like these have prepared me for leadership at any level.

Description
This artifact is a sample of an agenda from a Department of Teaching & Learning Meeting I participated in. The emphasis of this agenda sample is on planning for the future of professional development for our staff to support the academic success and well-being of each student. This process is done while considering the needs of stakeholders and understanding the dynamics of change occurring in education. The plans being made needed ongoing modification in response to changing legislative and licensing requirements from the state. Through collaboration, the members of our department were able to plan for effectively leading our teams forward across K-12.
Reflection
Participation in the District's Department of Teaching and Learning has prepared me to be an instructional leader at any grade level. I can plan ahead to meet the needs of my staff members, legislative and licensing requirements, and, most importantly, students with an understanding of the developmental needs of students across levels.

Description
This artifact is a set of slides used during our New Staff onboarding days in August. These two days include new certified and non-certified staff members across all levels. My role these days is as a co-lead, introducing our latest teammates to district policies, systems within their own buildings, and our incredible school community.
Reflection
Working with teachers and staff at all levels requires understanding the organizational systems and articulating curriculum across the levels. I have been given many opportunities to build my skills in this area, mainly when working with all of our new-to-district teachers and staff.
