Description
Artifact One is a copy of the 24-25 Master Schedule for our elementary building that I helped to create. This instructional schedule includes prep periods for all teaching staff - including specialist staff who are shared with another building, plans for multiple grade-level common times for interventions, includes lunch and recess times, and accounts for additional supports for our students with more severe special education needs.
Reflection
Drafting this schedule required understanding the breadth of instructional and contractual needs throughout the building. In addition, it required an understanding of the diverse learning needs of students as I considered the best options for blocks of learning and/or timing for movement breaks. Even at the elementary level, planning a schedule to allow a comprehensive program of student activities is vital for student development.

Description
This artifact is a sample of an agenda from a Department of Teaching & Learning Meeting that I participated in. The emphasis of this agenda sample is on planning for the future of professional development for our staff to support the academic success and well-being of each student. This process is done while considering the needs of stakeholders and understanding the dynamics of change occurring in education. The plans being made needed ongoing modification in response to changing legislative and licensing requirements from the state. Through collaboration, the members of our department were able to plan for effectively leading our teams forward.
Reflection
Participation in the District's Department of Teaching and Learning has prepared me to serve as an instructional leader. I can plan ahead to meet the needs of my staff members, legislative and licensing requirements, and, most importantly, students. Planning for intentional professional development and considering how those offerings fit into the broader goals of our building and the district.

Description
This document is a guide I created in collaboration with my Director of Technology to support my staff in utilizing a feature of our data management system, Educlimber. This guide supported our staff in completing reporting documents connected to each student that would meet recent legislative requirements and support communication of student needs.
Reflection
As a leader within the building, I feel it is important to be well-versed in the systems that support our staff and students, particularly with data management. Staying up-to-date in these systems helps me be prepared to answer questions from my staff and streamline the work we do for students.
