RTI Notes: One artifact that provides evidence of my participation in a school culture that focuses on improved student learning is a set of notes shared as part of a group discussion of the book Enhancing RTI. RTI is a system that works to enhance student learning by providing targeted instruction for students who are not making adequate gains in their learning. Studying this book is an example of how I am continually working to improve student learning as part of our building community.
Data Team Template: A second example of how I participate in a school culture focused on improving learning is a copy of our data team template from the third cycle of the 2012-2013 school year. This template shows how we, as a team, worked to analyze preassessment data, make inferences about student needs, plan quality instruction to meet those needs, and reflect upon the final assessments. This process allows us to best consider the needs of our students in order to best enhance their learning.
