For those looking for resources for young learners of Arabic, check out Arabic Comes First for an excellent range of eBooks, lesson plans and printables. For those looking for an excellent series of workbooks then the well-known 'Gateway to Arabic' series is very good indeed. Book 1 alone is enough to get anyone - child or adult - able to read any Arabic script (so they can then read Quran, though without tajweed, or dua and begin to learn them and indeed the last pages do exactly that: show the pupil that they are now able to read Quran, masha'Allah!) and does not assume ANY prior knowledge of the Arabic language or alphabet, so it is ideal for beginners. There are now available 4 sets of good quality flashcards to go with the series, as well as verb conjugation cards and so on. These are can be easily found via Amazon and eBay.
