Sensei Mabuni Kenyu is Soke Mabuni Kenei's son thus successor of the Mabuni family.
The ceremony of his investiture was held on 28 February 2016 at the Osaka Garden Palance Hotel in Japan.
He officially became the 3rd Soke of Shitoryu Karatedo.
