Mizuguchi Hirofumi

Mizuguchi Sensei was born on April 25, 1936 in Osaka. He began Karatedo the age of 12 under the direction of Ryuso Kenwa Mabuni. At this time Soke Mabuni Kenei and his brother Kenzo Sensei were his training partners at the Dojo.

Mizuguchi Sensei opened the first KENSHIKAI dojo in 1966 at Ibaraki city (Osaka Prefecture). Then he transferred the Honbu (headquarters) to Takatsuki city (Osaka).Today the KENSHIKAI is established in the Kansai region and in other regions of Japan. It aims to preserve and promote Shitoryu Karatedo.

Sensei reminds his students the meaning of the school emblem symbolizing harmony, peace and respect for others. Dedicating his life to Budo, he is constantly seeking self-perfection and places wisdom, self-control as axioms to true effectiveness.

Mizuguchi Sensei shares his knowledge with karateka worldwide. Invited by Rakoto Sensei, Shihan Mizuguchi made ​​his first trip to France in 1993, where he visited Bordeaux. Two years later he gives his first seminar in Bordeaux. Each year since then Shihan Mizuguchi honors us with his presence at the annual seminar which grew international in 2012.
