Subject: [i13 News] Vol 7: Where do I sleep?! How do I find my way once I'm there?
For those of you who've been to Camp Zajac before, you'll get the gist of this, so please help any new people to get oriented when they arrive.
Quiet time starts at 11 pm and ends at 10 am in ALL lodges.
This means: no loud talking/yelling/laughter in lounges. No music; no socializing in sleeping areas.
Want to make noise? Laugh raucously? Go Rec Hall Temple or the Dining Hall
Music Jamming – Dining Hall
Want to play music? Amplified sound, instruments or drums!
Anytime there are no meals or workshops happening, there will be a microphone and shared instruments for you to jam out on. Also: bring your own!
There are 3 lodges to choose from, each with 2 dorm style rooms on the main floors. Each dorm holds 14 to 16 people.
The upstairs feature a variety of smaller rooms, which are ALL reserved for families with young children, people with special health conditions requiring private rooms, with the rest assigned to many of your fabulous Intention organizers, who spend many hours on site making sure everything is tickety-boo.
Palomino Lodge 1
The right hand side dorm in Palomino Lodge 1 is also reserved for the families with Kids, aged 5 through 13. Please do NOT use any of the beds in there UNLESS you've been in contact with one of the moms who's invited you in to their private space!
Only the left hand side dorm is open to all on the main floor
Room 201 Upstairs to the left is for everyone's use as the Personal Healing Space.
This lodge will likely be a little 'louder' in the daytimes, as the kids will be in & out of their dorm.
Mustang Lodge 2
Mustang Lodge 2 is where you will find the little ones (ages 0-4) with their parents, in the upstairs rooms.
Both dorms are open to all on the main floor
This lodge will be fairly quiet throughout, with some possibility of morning activity as the parents & youngens move about in the morning.
Pinto Lodge 3
Room 217 upstairs on the left is the Intentional Healing Centre, as well as First Aid & Peer Support. Pod leads for these areas live in the rooms right across.
Both dorms are open to all on the main floor
This lodge will be fairly quite throughout, although some say they can hear the music bleed from the Temple Hall at times. Bring earplugs!
A Lodge Layout map has been posted for your info, subject to change! See Lodge Layout here.
Some last minute quick reminders:
Be On Time for WORKSHOPS
Please be on time! If you are late, enter quietly unless late arrivals are not permitted.
Be On Time for MEALS
Meals are one hour only – if you arrive late, the good stuff may have been eaten!
Wash Your HANDS
Always, Everywhere. Intention is more fun if you aren't sick. There are dispensers next to both entrances in the dining room + a washroom.
LEAVE NO TRACE
Label everything you share (blankets, pillows, fabric etc) with tape, your name and contact info. Then put a safety pin through the tape to keep the tape on if it's fabricky soft stuff.
Make a list so if you brought it, you will remember to take EVERY thing home. Our audacious goal: NO items in the Lost and Found by the end of Intention.
Camp Zajac
We love Camp Zajac! Please honour the spaces you are in and keep them clean/tidy as you go.
If something major needs to be cleaned or fixed during our stay, please let one of the organizers know!
See you for dinner at 6pm tomorrow everyone!
Drive safely, take your time, you're on INTENTION VACATION!
