Hello Intentionites,
This email is only going out to people who registered.
The topic of this email is what to pack and what to leave behind. This was sent out earlier, but there are additions, in bold.
What to Leave Behind:
* Scents. A lot of people are intolerant to scents in shampoos, colognes, soaps, you name it. Please leave smelly things behind.
* Peanuts, or nuts of any kind. Kids with allergies use this camp. Nuts are NOT ALLOWED on premises, not even in your car.
* Anise, fennel, licorice: one of our attendees cannot be in the same room as these. Check for these in your Chai, teas, toothpaste, cough drops (fisherman friends) and other scented products.
* Candles - wax leaves messes that cost us extra for cleanup
* Dogs and other companion animals (Unfortunately animals--especially dogs--do not mix well with a large crowd of strange people of all ages. We don't like the idea of having to ask folks who bring animals to keep them tied up at all times, so we ask if you would please leave your non-human friends with others who can love them safely over Intention week. Thx)
* Cellphones - 'coz they won't get reception at the camp anyway =]:P
Necessities:
* WARM CLOTHES e.g. socks, sweaters, longjohns, extra pair of shoes, gloves, etc.
* Heavy plastic garbage bags to store your clothes in as a bed bug prevention measure
* Drivers need snow chains and a shovel for your car. The camp is up a fire road and you will need chains in heavy snow.
* Bedding (bunk beds have vinyl-covered mattresses)
* Toiletries
* Towels: you may want one for bathing and one for the pool
* Swimsuit: must wear in pool:), and flip flops, bathrobe
* Snacks and food if you have food allergies, to be kept in kitchen
* Raingear
* Pj's
* Thermarests, foams, anything you could sleep on for temple night.
Highly Recommended to Bring:
* Flashlight

Things you'll want for ritual

Directions to camp
PRINT THIS OUT or copy it down - this is how you get to Camp Zajac, where Intention 13 is happening.
Please do not share or forward this to anyone, as all who are registered are on this list!
For the more hands-on navigators in the group, you can simply plug the coordinates of the camp into Google maps or other navigating software and plot your own course: 49°17'13.42 N 122°20'20.63" W
These are the exact coordinates of the dining hall at the camp. It's also fun to plug them into google earth and fly around the area.
You are welcome to arrive any time after 2 p.m. We need lots of help setting up the place. <Waivers?>
Driving Directions From Vancouver:
Leave the city by 4pm at the latest on the 31st to beat traffic & to get the camp with enough time to settle in before dinner at 6pm. You are welcome to arrive at camp anytime Thursday, just bring your lunch if you plan to arrive early!
Take Highway 1 East to the Maryhill Bypass area. There are no signs that say Mary Hill Bypass; the exit you want to take is marked for "United Blvd." and Lougheed Highway - stay in the right lane as you exit.
Travel northeast to the Lougheed Highway and cross the Pitt River Bridge.
Continue on Lougheed Highway. Go past the signs for "Old Dewdney Trunk Road" - they are confusing when you consider the next step below:
Turn left onto Dewdney Trunk Road (across from the Staples). Stay on Dewdney Trunk Road for 20-25 minutes.
About a 1/4 mile past Clark's General Store at the Dam, turn left onto Burma Road (gravel road, also marked with a sign for Zajac Children's Camp). If you cross the dam at the foot of Stave lake you have gone too far.
Travel for 8.5km down Burma Road. Be careful and watch for ice and large trucks. If possible, arrange to meet another vehicle at the dam and travel down Burma road in a convoy in case someone gets stuck.
Do not turn off Burma road. You cross a couple of small bridges, and will eventually see a sign that says "Zajac Ranch" on the right. Turn into the driveway, down & around into the camp.
Driving Directions from Abbotsford:
Take Route 11 North from Abbotsford to Mission. Stay on this road as it turns into Cedar.
Continue up the hill on Cedar, past the Husky Station until you come to a stop sign and turn left onto Dewdney Trunk Road.
After a short distance, you will cross a bridge. Turn right immediately past the bridge to continue on Dewdney Trunk Road.
Travel for about 10 minutes, past the dump, and you will cross the BC Hydro Power Dam bridge.
Take the first right after the bridge, which is Burma Road (gravel road). There is a small parking lot and guard house on the right.
Continue on Burma Road for 8.5km. Do not turn off this road. You will see a sign that says "Zajac Ranch" on the right.
