Format
The summer school program consists of ten 90-minute lectures and 18 student presentations. Each lecturer will discuss a topic of his/her choice in economics. Six sessions will be allocated for students to present their research. Students will have opportunities to interact informally with the lecturers throughout the event.
Application
World Congress of Econometric Society (August 18-22, 2025 in Seoul) will inform the decision to include the paper in the program sometime between March 1 and March 31, 2025. As we expect some students to try to attend both the World Congress and the summer school, we pushed back the summer school's application deadline from February 28 to April 7, 2025.
Only electronic submissions will be accepted between December 1, 2024-April 7, 2025.
Before pointing the web browser to the application site, please review the checklist. Pay special attention to the first and last bullet points.
The URL link of the application site can be found at the end of the checklist.
Tentative Timeline
An applicant will be notified of the admission decision sometime in April 2025. An admitted student will be asked to register soon after receiving the invitation letter.
A registered student will be asked (again) whether he/she remains committed to presenting a paper to organize the student presentations.
We plan to announce the program for the Summer School around May 2025.
