Here are some notes based on Tuesday's practice! Look for "vocalists", "instrumentalists", and then search for your name.

Overall:
Vocalists -- Josue was the champion last night. I heard him loud and clear through the headphones, and he's right on. Couldn't hear girls that well. I think, Christina, once you get used to some of the songs you haven't been with us for over the long run, you'll be good. Practice lines for songs to the point of being confident with them.
Instrumentalists -- In a band, knowing how to play is as important as knowing when to play -- and how to play when you do. Leo is becoming a master at feeling out when he should play and shouldn't, and then a right intensity level when he does. And now he's our clicky stick player for "El Que Habita". Don't fight to make yourself heard.
Look ahead at dates posted on schedule. Click here!
I have started to post future intro songs. Be ready to harmonize! Jasmine and Rocio - They are there.
My Heart Is Overwhelmed - bridge
I think we are a bit overwhelmed with this! Problems:
The bridge is still too muddy.
Consistency among all instrumentalists -- nailing the line through here -- is not happening.
Vocalists - Listen to harmony line
Next time we practice this one, we will work on something different with the percussion. I am thinking of doing this section in a different way.
Que Mi Vida Entera Este: Sounding good.
Jasmine - Keep up the F#-ing during instrumental!
Vocalists - Let's go with even rhythm for "ente...ra'es...te"
Janice - There is potential for a harmony line. Find it in the second half of the verses.
Grace Unmeasured:
Remember this is in 6/8, which is in three!
Brandon -- Keep doing your little dinky drum hits at the beginning, during first verse, when I'm playing. I realized when listening to recording you were doing that, and it was a nice touch. Keep it up.
Vocalists -- Come in MIGHTILY at the chorus after the instrumental part. Think ahead, and remember what the part is so that you are confident with it.
Instrumentalists -- "...at the cross on which you died" (release). I'll tickle a few notes up above, and Brandon will do a few cymbal taps.
El Que Habita
Chord changes - make sure they are in your copy of music you pick up next rehearsal!
Jasmine - Work up your interlude to the point that you could do it in your sleep. This will be a Santa Cena song, and chances are you will be doing this during those moments.
Ben - Less is more on this one.
Leo and Brandon - We're going to keep what we figured out at the end for now: Leo on "2", Brandon on "4".
Vocalists - We have some issues to work out with rhythm of words. I'll look at them and make decisions.
Guy vocalists - harmony. Ben - You have it down pat. Nice. Josue - Not sure. Listen here on the Music Library.
Girl vocalists - Remember melody and don't get thrown off by guys' harmony. You've sang this song a million times; just think!
Our God Is Love:
We must slow down this song. That's the solution. Brandon --
Could you get into the church some time to practice with a metronome, and set it a few notches slower than what the actual recording is at? And then practice maintaining that? We need it desperately.
I usually tell people to listen well, but my advice to you would be to try to tune us out and just focus on your playing - and at a steady tempo.
Jasmine - I will type up the instructions for keyboard set up on that and probably post them in the Music Library. I'll get on that.
Vocalists - Reorient yourselves to harmony line -- now in Music Library.
