This is the main headquarters for planning music for Pray Chicago for May 21, 2016. Info is subject to change as the need arises - which is the main reason for the website format, instead of emails full of info that could be altered.
Below you will find the who, what, how, when, and where of Pray Chicago May 2016, for most things having to do with the service and preparation for it.
Schedule
There are two super-important practice times and dates that you need to commit to, and then the event itself.
Sunday, May 1st - 5:00pm practice at New Jerusalem (3859 N. Central Ave, Chicago).
Sunday, May 15th - 3:30pm practice at New Jerusalem (3859 N. Central Ave, Chicago). Lunch will be provided. If you plan to eat with us, please RSVP.
Saturday, May 21st - TBApm set-up and sound check (2210 W Pershing Rd, Chicago). Service starts at 4pm.
Note that the church address above is Central Avenue, and NOT Central Park Avenue. People be gettin' that confused all the time :-)

TO-DO AND TO-BRING LISTS!
Listen and practice! Behold, I bring you a link that brings tidings of all of our songs - in order, exactly the way we'll be doing them on Saturday. "Our God" went a little fast, and "Agnus Dei" cut out, but it's all as-is for Saturday! Click on this SoundCloud link to play and listen, or to pick up your instrument to practice with.
Binders: Put your binder together in order! Order of songs can be found under "Order of events on May 21" on this very page here! If you're viewing this on a phone, keep scrolling down. If on a laptop, look at the far right column that way -->
Pins: Get some clothes pins or something to keep your music open. Wind prevention!
Bring that music on Saturday!
Instruments: Bring all the pieces for your instrument, and check before you leave: Picks, strings, pedals, etc.
Leave on time! Do some backwards planning -- Arrival time is 2:00PM on Saturday. If you need to arrive by 2:00PM, that probably needs you need to leave around one, which means you need to eat lunch at twelve, which means you need to be showering at... you get the picture?
Text me: Let me know when you arrive to McKinley Park. I don't know where everything will be at that day... we'll have to figure that out the day of.
Dress according to weather. Jeans are fine. Wear a top that will make room for your Pray Chicago top. I'd recommend a plain-color long-sleeve shirt that you can just put your Pray Chicago shirt on top of. Something like that.
Prayer: Remember that we will be prayer huddling as a group up on stage... perhaps as guy/girl groups. I'm looking forward to praying w/ all of you! I might slip to a keyboard once in awhile to play some fill-in music.
Reminders for specific people:
Janice - Powerpoint style lyrics packet for Pastor... possibly Neena as well? Ask her if she'd like that. Printing will be OK?
Rosanna will be bringing an additional keyboard stand.
Rosanna - You'll be highlighting "voice" numbers and "dual" in your music, right?
Levi - I'll be meeting you at the church on Thursday night to make sure all your pieces get packed. It'll probably be 7pm-ish... I'll let you know ahead of time. Get a hold of me that day if I don't get back to you soon.
Just for Chris...
Sound: Will they have a bass amp and elec guitar amps, or do they need us to bring ours? Gosh I hope not... Sound monitors, yes?
Have deacons bring chairs for platform there
Label those chairs on Thursday night.
Meet with Levi Thursday night to pack drumset
A few copies of music for a few folks
Lyric copies
Songs and resources
Ideas at the moment... this is just a brainstorm list I have going. Got a few chord sheets at the bottom.
