Hi, guys. Please let Brandon know when you read these notes for Sunday. Look for the labels “VOCALISTS” & “INSTRUMENTALISTS”.
Forever Reign – Not much to say.
· Going well.
· Vocalists – Do harmonize on “Tag” at the end.
· Vocalists – “My heart will sing” OFF! “no other name” OFF! “Jesus” OFF!
Al Mundo Paz – A little bit for everyone!
· Instrumentalists: Verse 1 into the instrumental, hit the ‘D’ chord strong!
· Instrumentalists: Verse 3 – First couple lines, softish.
· Vocalists: Be confident going up! “…ya nuestro REEEEYYY!” Be strong!
BE READY FOR A BOOMING TRANSITION INTO……
Gloria a Dios en las Alturas – New one, deserves attention.
· Vocalists: If you’re still struggling with the tune, listen to the hymn “Come Ye Thankful People Come” in English. Youtube it, or there IS an audio clip in the music library!
· Instrumentalists: The chords are new and revised, not a bad idea to play through this again before Sunday.
· Instrumentalists: Mid-tro after verse 2 – Drop almost totally, Brandon smacks the tambourine. Yay! Christmasy!
Oid Un Son – New one also, deserves attention.
· Vocalists: Tune is “Hark the Herald Angels Sing”
· Instrumentalists: The chords are new and revised, not a bad idea to play through this again before Sunday.
· Instrumentalists: Significant chord changes – “con los cielos…” line simplified. Counting on “A Jesus que es nuestro BIEN” – chord comes in on ‘bien’
· Instrumentalists: Mid-tro after verse 2 – Stay strong, then first two lines of verse 3, light/softish.
Offering – durante la ofrenda! and congregational singing!
· I will play melody on piano.
· Vocalists: Seamless transition to congreg singing, lead by Pastor. Approach mics as you see ushers finishing.
· Vocalists: Do you remember harmony for chorus? “I bring an offering…”? Call me or ask for a Noteflight version if you cannot hum through it right now.
· Vocalists: Be strong going towards higher notes. Instrumentalists: Seamless transition to congreg singing, lead by Pastor. Watch me. Be ready to go back to beginning at any point.
· Drums: Brandon – I like your hits going from end of verse 1 into chorus.
· Bass: Don’t hit chords two times in a row w/ quarter notes on chorus. Once is enough. Syncopate the “A” note on “…the honor that you’re due”.
La Cruz Excelsa – Santa Cena
· Everything will probably be longer than written. Watch me.
· Instrumentalists: Needs to be a few notches softer than we practiced on Tuesday. It’s Communion; should be more reflective.
· Vocalists: Remember harmony? There is one! See music library for it.
