Deadline for a special theme section on Mobile Health in Electronic Markets - The International Journal on Networked Business is October 1, 2010.
Mobile devices are currently used in healthcare for specific purposes such as radiologists getting a quick look at images on their smartphones or physicians writing e-scripts on their smartphones during an office examination.
Healthcare is moving to a networked business model in many countries with the (elusive) hope of any healthcare organization being able to see the complete medical record of a patient. Mobile devices are expected to tie into this inter-connected system of systems.
