The Easter run took place on 27 March 2005, on a route devised by Martin Curtis. It was a dry, but overcast day and when we set out all the cars had the tops down.
We started from Needham lakes [just off A14], and the route followed mainly A and B roads for about 60 Km to the coffee stop at West Stowe Anglo Saxon Centre. Good catering facilities, and marauding Anglo Saxons everywhere!.......Onto the second half of the run which took us about 70 Km's via Kentford, Lydgate and Clare to our monthly meeting venue, The Manger at Bradfield Combust.
We had a really good lunch, and the venue coped well with the extra numbers that we arrived with, having anticipated 7 cars, 17 eventually turned up, one or two had tales of woe about forgetting the change to BST!
People travelled from all over the region to take part, and it was nice to welcome some new faces.
Everyone enjoyed the day, and a big thanks to Martin for again devising a good, fast and interesting route.
