Norfolk gala day - Sunday 6 September
After an early release by Norfolk Police, we were unsure of the future for this popular ER event, but we need not have worried.
Good weather and plenty to see meant the crowds rolled in to see the best car, truck, bus and community show in the area, a large 29 car plot gave the Eastern Region real presence at the show and this was to prove useful.
This was the show for which we had been given the 15-20 raffle car, and Martin’s mission was simple – sell as many raffle tickets as possible and raise as much as we can for “Help for Heroes”. To complement the red white and blue “Help for Heroes” theme we nestled it between a white and a blue Mk1 and set about the general public, nudging them in the direction of ticket sales,
Eastern Region efforts totalled over £400 pounds!
As well as raising the profile of our club in Norfolk, we managed to annoy the Triumph Owners with the space we took up, but then they didn’t need too much room, as there aren’t too many Triumphs left!
Sorry Mr Triumph, only kidding.
Jamie.
