More About Us.

We meet once a month at the Old Power House, in the historic Midland Railway Workshop precinct in Midland. The building is situated at the end of Blacksmith Lane, off Centennial Place. Visitors are welcome.

The meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month, excluding January. Meetings start at 7:30pm, with plenty of time to view the tools and interesting items brought along. Each meeting has a tool theme, and members bring along pieces from their collection that match the theme, as well as any new acquisitions.

The formal part of the meeting, starting at 7.45,  covers forthcoming events, tool sales, functions and so on, to ensure that all members are aware of what is coming up, and also to allow the Society to make sure that events are well attended.

After the relatively short part of the formal meeting, members get the opportunity to discuss their tools, ask questions, receive advice and generally get involved in the purpose for having the Society.

We then finish off with a talk by a visiting dignitary, or a small tool auction, depending upon what has become available.

Daytime Meetings.

We occasionally hold daytime meetings to cater for those who may not be confident driving at night. Non or potential members are welcome at these meetings. Refer to our Events Calendar for dates and times.

Refer to the map here for directions to the meeting place.
