Corrigenda to The Principal Pauline Epistles

The Principal Pauline Epistles: A Collation of Old Latin Witnesses was published in 2019 as an output from the ERC CATENA project, along with associated transcriptions at www.epistulae.org

We are grateful to Anna Persig, Annette Weissenrieder and André Luiz Visinoni among others for drawing our attention to the corrigenda listed below. The online transcriptions have been updated where necessary to take account of these corrections.

Rom. 1:3. VL 51 includes the words secundum carnem

Rom. 5:4. VL 54 reads abemus not habemus

Rom. 6:13. VL 54 reads exibite not exhibite

Rom. 6:16. VL 54 reads an nescitis not ait nescitis

Rom. 8:5. VL 61 does not omit sapiunt at the end of the verse. Instead it reads sapiunt followed by a marginal gloss uel sentiunt.

Rom. 13:9. VL 54 includes the words non falsum testimonium dices.

1Cor. 1:27. The omission in VL 77 should be treated as coterminous with the omission in VL78C and VL 89 (ut confundat ... deus).

1Cor. 4:6. For VL 77 read pro uno not per uno.

1Cor. 9:7. VL 54 reads de fructu not de fructum.

1Cor. 14:34.  The footnote also applies to VL 77 and 89.
