Codex Usserianus primus (VL 14)

The new Trinity College Dublin Early Irish manuscripts project blog has an entry on Codex Usserianus as part of a project to digitise four Dublin manuscripts (VL 14, VL 28, VL 35 and the Book of Dimma).

The post includes a reference to an article by David Dumville which dates the manuscript to the fifth century and suggests that it was copied on the Continent (D. N. Dumville, A Palaeographer’s review: the Insular System of Scripts in the Middle Ages I. Osaka, 1999.)

As The Latin New Testament has now been typeset, it is too late to add this to the book – which is one of the reasons for this webpage!
