As an entrepreneur without an office, I am always looking for workspaces. In The Netherlands I have found three main kind of places where I can set up my office for a day or part of a day. All these places have free wifi.
Even if I am no longer a student, I can still work in the university library. There are tables and chairs. In The Netherlands I know 11 universities that I can use as a non-student. The advantage of the university library is their opening hours. During the week they open at 8am and close at 10pm. On weekends they open at 10am and close at 6pm. So great hours for early and late starters. Toilets are free to use, this was before COVID.
The last one I used is Seats2Meet. I pay here with Social Capital. This basically means that someone else who works at Seats2Meet can ask me questions about my area of expertise. When I reserve a seat, I must fill in my expertise. Seat2Meet is an open space with tables that I can use. There is free coffee and tea and toilet (not anymore at all of them). It's a great way to get to know more entrepreneurs or other employees who use this workspace to work there.
Another library I can use is the public library. The hours are less than at the university library, but still good. Opening hours vary with each city. On Mondays and Sundays most open late, 12 or 1 pm. It depends on the city if the toilets are free. Otherwise I pay 50/75 eurocents to go to the toilet, some are free. There amount of space vary dependent on the library and there are free newspapers to read.
