Sometimes There Are Pearls In 'Het Suffertje'

I like to read ‘het suffertje’. In this paper Maker faire was looking for a lot of volunteers for their faire at the end of the summer. I was curious about what the Maker Faire would be about, so I contacted them and was a volunteer for two shifts. It happened to be in my backyard, De Klokgebouw at Strijp-S, Eindhoven.

Volunteering At The Maker Faire

I had never before heard of the Maker faire and was happy bringing tea/coffee around and answering questions of the exhibitors. By doing that I could look around and talk to them about what they were stalling. When my colleagues at the door took a break, I took for a while their shift of checking the tickets at the door.

It is very busy faire and most of the time it is sold out.
