Fair Use Guidelines

Please read the attached guidelines carefully. Per your Letter of Agreement, Curators are responsible to obtain rights and permissions for reproduction of text and images within copyright:

[The Curator agrees to:] secure all necessary permissions relating to any loaned materials in the exhibition or otherwise referenced in the publication (for example, regarding photography and publication rights). The curator agrees to review the terms of any loan agreement for any loaned materials used in connection with the exhibition and/or the publication, and the curator agrees to ascertain whether the use complies with the loan agreement. All loans must be appropriately acknowledged, and the curator agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold the Club harmless from any and all third-party claims arising out of or related to the use or misuse of loaned materials or otherwise arising out of a breach of any loan agreement entered into in connection with the curator’s exhibition or the publication.
