Plan to begin your catalogue as early as possible, as this element usually requires the most lead time in terms of developing content, editing, and production. Please be in contact with Executive Director Declan Kiely (dkiely@grolierclub.org), Arnold Hirshon, the Chair of the Committee on Publications (ahirshon@gmail.com), and Ann Donahue, Publications Manager (adonahue@grolierclub.org), as soon as possible after the acceptance of your proposal.
If the catalogue is to be produced under the imprint of the Grolier Club, the text and design must be approved in advance by the Publications Committee, which maintains its own schedule of deadlines for publications-related material. Consult with the Publications Committee Chair, Arnold Hirshon (ahirshon@gmail.com), for further details.
The Club cannot subsidize the cost of the catalogue. It is the responsibility of the curator to secure the necessary funding. Please see Budget and Billing for further details.
As an alternative to a new publication, the Grolier Club may purchase at cost (typically 50% of retail) copies of a publication produced by other organizations, with the proceeds from the sale of the Club's copies remaining at the Grolier Club.
