It was after Jesus dead on the cross, His burial and resurrected that He established the New Covenant with His blood. That is why you have to be born again as it reads in John 3:6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."

God looks at the heart of the believers and if a born again believer will ask God from his heart for the Holy Spirit, he or she will receive the Holy Spirit. After that the believer needs to learn what belongs to him or her as a born again believer, one can accomplish that by the renewing of his or her mind and studying the written Word of God.

Our Christian Bible consists of 39 books in the Old Testament and of 27 books in the New Testament. In the Old Testament, the first five books named the Torah, which are the books that Moses wrote, included the Law. The next 13 books are the government, then we have five books of psalms and proverbs and the prophets wrote the last 17 books of the Old Testament. In the New Testament we find the 4 gospels (when Jesus living here on earth under the Old Covenant) followed by the book of Act, which is the historical book of the church followed by the books of the New Covenant which starts in the book of Romans and ends in the book or Revelations.

I found several covenants made by God but I will only name three. First, the covenant made with Abraham who believed God, and that accounted unto him for righteousness. Then the Covenant with Moses (the Law) and then in the New Testament, the covenant of Grace, that is what Jesus established with His own blood for us to believe and to follow.

I will add that not through the law (the covenant made by Moses) was the promise made to Abraham or to his seed (Jesus) that he should be heir of the world, but through the righteousness of faith, therefore (Romans 4:13). It was not until Moses wrote the books of the Law; for until the law, sin was in the world but is not attributed when there is no law (Romans 1:1). God gave Israel the law at Mount Sinai because the elders of Israel were afraid of God and did not want to talk to God, so they told Moses, “You talk to God” and said, “that whatever Jehovah God hath spoken we will do it” but without help of a savior it is impossible to keep the law.

The apostles (inspired by the Holy Spirit) wrote the New Testament. The New Testament consist of the four gospels, explaining how Jesus was born, lived and fulfill the law. Jesus could do that because His Father was God, was not born under the sin nature (Adams nature) that all humans are born on and He received the Holy Spirit without measure. After the four gospels, we find the book of Acts, which is a historical book and it shows us how the Holy Spirit came into the earth. Then the next 22 books teach us the new covenant of Jesus Christ.

Paul wrote to the Galatians 3:13 that the law would put us under condemnation, but Christ took that condemnation away. Jesus changed places with us on the cross; He put Himself under that condemnation. Galatians 3:23 says, “Before this spiritual faith came, we were all held in check by the law”. We had no freedom until God revealed to us the way of spiritual faith (by grace) which came through Jesus Christ.”

In the Old Testament, before Mount Sinai there were miracles like the parting of the sea, manna from heaven to feed the Israelite's and no sick people come out of Egypt, (Psalms 105:37 He also brought them out with silver and gold, And there was none feeble among His tribes.) also a pillar of fire by night and a cloud by day to keep the Israelite's in the shade. People believe in God, but with a natural faith, because they could see and feel with their senses. Then, when the law was put in place (at Mount Sinai), everything changed for the people of Israel and very few miracles, in Exodus 32:28 about three thousand of the people of Israel were killed; from then on, they had to perform by trying to keep the Law or die.

That is why Jesus (our savior) had to come to earth as a human being because the whole world needs a savior. Jesus by His dead, burial and resurrection made His new Covenant with us.

What did Jesus do by the New Covenant? Jesus fulfilled every scripture and all prophesies written about Him in the Old Testament. Jesus opened the door for all believers to have a relationship with God. In John 13:34 Jesus gave us a new commandments "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another." In Matthew 10:8 Jesus told us to "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. “In Mark 16:17 "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." In Luke 24:49 Jesus tells us "Behold, I send the Promise of My Father (the Holy Spirit) upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high."

Jesus after being resurrected said in Matthew 28:18 "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” We are to use that authority now on the earth because He gave it to us to use.

The Holy Bible has the answers to everything you need to know, even tells you how to ride a horse, but first you need to be born again (Matthew 1:1, Romans 10:9-10) and be baptized with the Holy Spirit to understand the Bible (Act 1:8), read (John 14:16, John 14:26 and Acts 2:1-4).
