Jesus The Example

Jesus said; “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” So what is the abundant life?

I believe that the way Jesus lived on this earth or the way Adam lived before Adam's sin was the example of the abundant life. We have to know Jesus as He is now and as He was then when He lived in this world. He came to this world not as God but as a human being just like you and me.

Read Philippians 2:5-8 Have the same attitude among you that Christ Jesus had: Though Christ was divine by nature, He did not think that being equal with God was something to hold onto. Instead, he emptied himself, taking on the very nature of a slave. He became like human beings, appearing in human form. He humbled himself. He obeyed, though it meant dying, even dying on a cross!

Now we need to know that although being equal to the nature of a slave or of sin that when we are born again we are receiving the spirit of God, replacing our spirit through Christ Jesus who comes and now live in us.

In other word after we are born again and are filled with the spirit, I believe that we are just like Jesus when He walked here on the earth after He received the Holy Spirit and I would say even more than that because Jesus already died, buried and resurrected and has done it all for us. John 16:7 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Holy Spirit) will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.” Then He prayed to the Father: John 17:9 “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, (the believers) for they are Yours. I do not pray that You take them out of the world--just keep them from the evil one. I don't come from the world; they don't come from the world, either. Your message is the truth. May the truth make them holy! I sent them into the world, (to do what Jesus was doing and to teach others to be like Christ) just as You sent me into the world.

The Father sent Jesus into the world and Jesus did exactly what the Father told Him to do while He lived in the world; we are to live in God's love the same way, doing exactly what the Spirit of Jesus which lives inside of us is telling us to do and when we obey Jesus (the Holy Spirit) you are in a relationship with Him and miracles by Jesus will follow us.

How did Jesus performing miracles? He walk in love and was always talking to our Father or our Father was talking to Him. He spent a lot of time talking with our Father. Read how many times the bible says He prayed. Example “Mark 1:35, Luke 9:29, Luke 22:44,” Jesus was always talking to our Father like we are to be talking to Jesus and also to our Father.

Now let’s look at the apostles, did the apostles pray? Look at Acts 1:14 They were all together. They were constantly praying with the same purpose. Jesus' brothers, some women, and Mary (the mother of Jesus) were also there. They seem to pray for everything; read Acts 1:24, Acts 2:42, Acts 4:31 and they try to use all their time for prayer and teaching of the Word. Acts 6:4 Then we will use all of our time to pray and to teach the message of God.'' Read Acts 2:43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.

My question is How can you pray all the time? Unless you pray in the spirit. 1 Corinthians 14:14 When I am using my prayer language, my spirit is praying, but my understanding has no part in it. Now Paul says in 1 Corinthians 14:18, “I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all;” Acts 1:8 “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; Many people, including myself, hear from God when they pray in the spirit for a while, then give God a chance to speak.

Then Jesus said to them again, "Peace to you. I am sending you just as the Father have sent me.'' Jesus is sending us into the world to live just like He lived. Through the new birth, it enables us to change the sinful nature of Adam to the sinless nature of God. In Galatians 3:13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree''), if we know that it is a curse, then the curse has no right to be in the body of any believer. 1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness by whose stripes you were healed. Therefore you and I are healed.

I know many believers, like some prophets of today that I have seen, spend most of their time praying in the spirit and because of that, Jesus and the Father have given them some special revelation that they hear from God. Sometimes they can see in the people's spirit through the Holy Spirit and can even tell people what they are going through, and with that they can help others in their business’ or in their lives.

The abundant life is to know that legally we are sons of God, and to know that God loves us. The Holy Spirit told me a long time ago, what the Father wanted, that instead of just one Jesus walking on this earth that there would be many like Jesus here on this earth full of the God's abundant life.

Remember 1 John 3:1 Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
