To Be One In Christ
To Be One in Christ
First of all, Jesus is alive, and He has never said, “No more healing, or no more redemption, or no more miracles or no more of what He did while He was living here on this earth. What Jesus said was; that we would do greater things because He was going to the Father. Read John 14:12. And God told me personally more than thirty-four years ago, that we should be like a bunch of Jesus’ here on earth going about doing good thing for others. That was the purpose of Jesus coming into this earth to create a bunch of Jesus that love God.
Jesus wanted for the believer to be one with Him. Read John 15:5 - 6 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. "If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.” Jesus abides in your spirit when you are born again and become a new creation.
For Jesus to be in you, you must be born again, then you can obey His Word exactly as it is written. In the Bible you will find instructions for the husband, for the wife, for the children, for the friend, and instructions for everything in life. We must know His Word because Jesus created all things, and He is the one who wrote the Word in the first place. (Read Colossians 1:15-20.)
Just before Jesus went back to the Father, He told the disciples in John 14:23 Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves me and obeys my teaching, my Father will love him. We will come and live with him.” What do you think He will be doing in you? He will be talking to you and guiding you on whatever you are doing. Jesus knows all things and when He lives in you, He is not far away, you can ask Him anything and He will answer.
To become mature in Christ we need to know that we are sons of the Father like Jesus. That is why we read in Ephesians 4:13 “until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ himself. Then we will not be little children anymore. The waves will not throw us back and forth. We will not be blown away by the winds of teaching which clever men invent to trick people into following. Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Listen to what Jesus says to the Father in John 17:8 "For I have given to them the words which You have given Me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came forth from You; and they have believed that You sent Me. John 17:17 "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. "And for their sake I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth. John 17:20 "I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their (apostles) word; "that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
The truth is that Jesus was our example on how we suppose to walk on this earth. We are to follow the instructions of the new covenant, then we can live free from sickness and be successful in our lives. Read 1 Peter 2:22 “Who committed no sin, nor was guile found in His mouth;" When they insulted Christ, he did not insult them back. While he was suffering, he wasn't trying to get even. Jesus gave himself over to God who judges fairly. He himself bore our sins in his body upon the cross, so that, free from sin, we might live for righteousness. His wounds have healed you. Like sheep, you had gone astray but you have now returned to the shepherd and guardian of your souls."
