Pastor Jim Roemke

Ordained into the Office of the Holy Ministry, Trinity Sunday, 2007.

Grace, Peace and Mercy to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

It is my great privilege to serve God's people with His good gifts of Word and Sacrament. I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself: I was born and raised on a farm in Northeast Indiana (Harlan, to be precise, about 20 miles east of Ft. Wayne.) I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree with a Major in History at Indiana-Purdue University in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. I met my beloved wife, Lesa (nee Peitzman), a true gift from God, at IPFW. We were married on June 7, 2003 and moved to St. Louis where I attended Concordia Seminary and my wife attended the University of Missouri in St. Louis.

Lesa earned her Master's degree in August of 2005 and the next day we moved to central Texas (Hamilton) where I served as vicar at St. John Lutheran Church under the supervision of Rev. Russell A. Nebhut. A year later we moved back to St. Louis where I earned my Master of Divinity. I was ordained on June 3, Trinity Sunday, 2007, by Rev. Steven Ahlersmeyer (my home pastor) at my home congregation, St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

I was installed as the third Pastor at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Middleville, Michigan, on June 10, 2007, by Rev. Tom Meyer.

In February of 2008, my wife and I were blessed with a daughter, Carolena Reve.

It is indeed an indescribable blessing and honor to serve the good saints at Good Shepherd. I pray that our Good Lord would conform me to His will and keep me ever faithful to His Word and the right confession of the faith.
