Lutheranism
The Last Things
· Lutherans are amillennial. That means we do not confess a literal 1000 year reign of Christians or the Church either before or after the tribulation.
· Lutherans interpret the 1000 years of Revelation as a symbolic number representing the perfect and complete reign of the Church through the centuries from the Ascension until Christ’s return.
There is only 1 physical resurrection which will happen on the last day.
SBC
The Last Things
· Traditionally Baptists have held to the amillennial teaching of the last days.
· Though in these latter days, a premillennial view is becoming more and more dominant.
Many believe in 2 separate resurrections 1000 years apart. The first being the rapture and the second the final judgement.
