Global Positioning Systems (GPS)

The club has a new Garmin Etrex 10 GPS. Leaders and other members can use it to help navigate on bushwalks and other activities. You can use it to show where you are on a paper map. It can also be used to record Waypoints and Tracks so the walk can be repeated at other times, by other members. The GPS can store information about a large number of walks and activities, which allows walks and locations to be accessed in the future. There is some information on its use in the files below. If you want to use the club GPS on your activity, see the off-track walk coordinator.
