We have finally made contact with the man at the Boohah show grounds which is infact the Boonah Caravan park aswell. His name is Graham and he has allowed for up to 15 sites for us to use. Mention Gold Coast Bushies and get 3 nights for the price of 2 apparantly.
Graham at the camp said that we can use the fire pit if we would like to just like last time. So if anyone wants to bring a bit of firewood that would be just great.
WALKERS: As always, non bike riders are all welcome to join us. But If any come they will need to sort our their walks themselves which are advertised at the Info center. Having said that they are all welcome to the camp at Boonah show grounds with us or nearby motels. I have arranged for plenty of spaces at the showgrounds. I have organised it so the riders will aim for morning tea 10am ish at the Lavender farm and winery at Kooroombe for the Wed ride and the Mt Alford brewery cafe for the Thur ride approx 10am again. Both will have coffee and cakes for us to purchase and Talks about their products which are for sale. For Thursday night we are in at the Dugandan Pub for Dinner. Our first event is on Tue evening which is a sunset happy hour at the top of Mt French a byo event. Any walker interested in the camp should email john Beever to get on the contact list.

This was a well attended camp last time I put it on with over 30 people attending. The venue is the Boonah Show Grounds and as of late with about 20 powered sites available for those dates . Any non campers will find places to stay at motels and hotels in town. The rides will be the same except in a different order. Wednesdays ride will hopefully encompass a winery in Bunjurgen or Mt Alford for our morning coffee break and then on the Thursday we will visit the Brewery cafe at Mount Alford where we can all purchase coffee and cake . All non riders are welcome to join us there in there cars .These do not open until 10.30 so the rides will be starting about 8.30am. Happy hour in either Wed or Thur and will be on the top of Mt French a short but scenic drive away.
Both rides are on backroads with some unsealed sections and some challenging hills.(but not for those on electric motor bikes). On one of the nights ,possibly the Thursday we can organise a pub meal at the Dugandan pub a very short drive out of Boonah.
The Show Grounds contact details are ; boonahshowgrounds@gmail.com and 0434879314. If any one has an interest in the event then please shoot me an email so I can get an early picture of numbers.
