A group of 13 left a crowded car park at Binna Burrs at 8.30. 30 plus members of a Brisbane Hiking group were there in force so we gave them a head start to clear the track. It was a beautiful day for walking and the bush gave us a welcome break from the heat and humidity of the preceding days nearer the Coast. There were signs of previous heavy rain but the track was in good condition with few muddy spots. Where the canopy was open the understory was a beautiful 50 shades of green (sound s like a good title for a book). Along the way we spotted a Blue Cray proudly defending his little bit of track and at one point, Jean W put her hand on the bank to steady herself and found herself holdings a frog! Apart from a few leeches there were no other encounters with wild life. A great day so thanks to leader Paula and for the pleasant company of eleven other ladies, from the token Bloke!
