Starting with 19 walkers at Purlingbrook Falls and on to Warringa pool we showed a few newcomers the magnificent views from each lookout. After morning tea we drove to Tallabana and began the Warrie Circuit by heading to Rainbow Falls then Goomoolahra Falls. Tree ferns lined the path in places and taller ferns, brush boxes, eucalypts and casuarinas dominated the immediate landscape. Then, it was on to the well-populated Twin Falls, and the swimmer in the pool on his inflatable pink flamingo. After the caves a late lunch was enjoyed at Black Fellow Falls followed by the short walk to Canyon Lookout and the Picnic Ground. After learning of a sightseer falling from Goomoolahra Falls and seeing the rescue helicopter overhead, we soon found the Tallabana carpark packed with 2 x police vehicles, 4 x ambulances and an SES van. Apparently the injury was a broken leg. Views have been stunning and great wildlife topped it off – eels, two land mullets and an antechinus. Overall, it was a fantastic day, great company and huge gratitude to our Leader, Laura Ryan
