From there we drove across to The Knoll picnic area for morning tea and a walk around the nearby track. The final stop was down the hill at the excellent Botanic Gardens for lunch and a stroll to admire the opening camellias and the new 'Sooty Owl’ children’s corner track with its airborne wire sculpture.

9 members did this 17km walk at Springbrook in a clockwise direction, where the downward track is near the East branch of Little Nerang Creek. The waterfalls and the Meeting of the Waters area were yet to receive their boost from the heavy rain early in June, but this is still an enjoyable forest walk.
