Barbara Alix Weber (DeWitt), 58, a former rock star promoter who later helped create provocative advertising campaigns for Calvin Klein, died on Dec. 31, 2000 in Golden Beach, Fla. She was 58 and lived in Manhattan. Ms. DeWitt had cancer for the last year and a half, said her brother, the photographer Bruce Weber. Born Barbara Weber, she became head of publicity for United Artists Records in the late 1960's, but left after four years to open her own publicity agency, with clients that included Frank Zappa, Ike and Tina Turner and Iggy Pop.In the mid-1980's, Ms. DeWitt left the music business and worked with Mr. Weber to cast and produce print advertising campaigns for fashion companies like Ralph Lauren, Gianni Versace and Calvin Klein. Ms. DeWitt cast many of the young men and women who appeared in Mr. Klein's ads, using nonmodels. In addition to her brother, she is survived by her husband, Timothy DeWitt, an architect, of Mariposa, Calif.; and two sons, Noe, of Manhattan, and Jeremy, of Seattle.

William Allen "Bill" Wertz, 70, of Cathedral City, Calif. (Palm Springs), passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012, at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, Calif. Bill was born Aug. 6, 1941, in Greensburg, the fifth child of five to George M. and Mary C. (McKay) Wertz. He was schooled at Greensburg High School and graduated with the class of 1959. He was employed by the Greensburg Coca-Cola Bottling Co. for 20 years and was a member of the Western Pennsylvania Teamsters Union. In 1990, Bill migrated to San Francisco, Calif., where he held positions in the graphic arts industry at Morgan Graphic Supply and Patrick & Co. He retired in 2004 and relocated to Palm Springs in 2010. Bill was a unique, enthusiastic, caring person and a devoted, loyal friend with a generous spirit and engaging personality. He is survived by sons, Douglas C. Wertz, of Sacramento, Calif., and William S. Wertz, of Greensburg; daughter, Denise Douglas; granddaughter, Jessica Rocco; great-granddaughter, Madison, of the Greensburg area; as well as many devoted nieces and nephews. He is also survived by brother, Gerald "Jerry" L. Wertz, of Cathedral City, Calif. He was cremated and interred at Riverside Veterans Cemetery in Riverside, Calif

Bonnie L. Wilhide (Mincucci), 69, of Greensburg, died peacefully at home on Thursday, May 26, 2011, surrounded by her family, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born June 14, 1941, in Wall, a daughter of the late Russell and Lucy (Archey) Wilhide. She was a member of St. Paul Parish in Carbon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Wilhide. Bonnie is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Silvio Mincucci; and devoted children, Pamela Mewbourn and her husband, Andrew, of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, and Greensburg, Dre' Mincucci and his wife, Teri, Nicole Marchetti and her husband, Brian, and Matthew Mincucci, all of Greensburg. She was the cherished grandmother of Amanda Mewbourn, Jeffrey Mewbourn, Noelle Richards, Nick Mincucci, Vincent Mincucci, Lucas Marchetti, Johnny Marchetti and Roman Marchetti. She is also survived by her sister, Lori Sturnick, and nephew, Russell Sturnick, both of East Petersburg, Pa.; nieces, Jean Marshall, of Georgia, and Renay and her husband, Brooks Grasso, of Maryland; and three great-nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude to nurse Luann Krimchock and aide Tina Edwards from Excela Health Home Care and Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion Bonnie received during her illness. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg. Prayers at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Parish, Carbon, with the Rev. Thomas A. Federline as celebrant. Private interment in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
