Geraldine A. (Pacek) Jurkovic, 73, of South Greensburg, died Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014, in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. She was born July 5, 1941, in South Greensburg, a daughter of the late Joseph and Ann (Kundrick) Pacek. She was employed by Power X, formerly Westinghouse, in Youngwood. She was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church and the AMS Club, both in South Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Jurkovic Jr., on April 13, 2014. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey John Jurkovic and his wife, Cosette, of North Huntingdon; a brother, Joseph Pacek and his wife, Judy, of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews; and two grandpuppies, Klondike and Snow. Jayme Page. Hays, 70, of Greensburg, died Thursday, Sept. 29 2011, at her home after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born Sept. 2, 1941, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late James T. and Virginia Hellin Page. She had been an art teacher in the Greensburg Salem School District and was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church of Greensburg. She owned and operated her own pottery studio, had been a member of the Greensburg Art Club and enjoyed working in her flower beds. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Christopher Hays. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Hays; two sons, Dennis A. Hays, of Greensburg, and Mark A. Hays and his wife, Kim, of Greensburg; two grandchildren, Collin and Michael; a great-granddaughter, Alexis; and two sisters, Carol Bishop, of Fairfield, and Virginia Stumpo, of Greensburg. Harold M. "Bucky" Peterson, 35, of 602 Somerset Court, Birchfield Apartments, Greensburg, died Sunday, April 17, 1977. He was born Dec. 10, 1941, in Greensburg, a son of Harold E. and Catherine Felice Peterson of Southwest Greensburg.He was a self-employed businessman and was the owner of Buck's Auto Body in Greensburg. He was member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg and the Fox Hill Athletic Association. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his widow, Grethcen "Jill" Armburst Peterson; tow sons, Michael U, and Lawrence James Peterson; two step-sons , Richard Shields and Richard Boone, two step-dauhters, Robin and Renee Shields, all at home, one brothers, Robert C. Peterson of Southwest Greensburg; and several aunts and uncles.

Carole Jean (Petrosky) Vozel, 62, of Greensburg, passed away Monday, July 7, 2003, in her home, after a long and courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease). She was born April 27, 1941, a daughter of Sophie Hasychak Petrosky and the late Anthony J. Petrosky Sr. Beloved wife of 43 years to Frank J. Vozel Jr. Loving mother of Frank J. Vozel and wife, Fran (Maschak) Vozel, of Dallas, Texas. She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Michelle M. Parrish and husband, Joe R. Jr., of Penn Township; four grandchildren, Shauna and Alicia Vozel and Kyle and Garrett Parrish; three sisters, Kathryn Petrosky, Beverly Koser and Joyce Trew and husband, Mark; a brother, Anthony J. Petrosky Jr.; her father-in-law, Frank J. Vozel Sr. and mother-in-law, Frances Karp Vozel; two sisters-in-law, Elaine Sebastian and husband, Ralph and Nancy Kosic and husband, Bob; a brother-in-law, Jack Vozel and wife, Debbie; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a dedicated and caring nursing instructor at several colleges, concluding her career at Western Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing. She earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education/Administration and Policy Study. She was active in the Pennsylvania League for Nursing, participating in numerous committees from 1986 to 2001, and a past board member of the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants, Pittsburgh Chapter. Her life of devotion to caring was rewarded by the loving care of her husband throughout her illness. Michael Cavalier “The Bear” Philips, 74, of Latrobe, died unexpectedly on Thursday, January 7, 2016. Born on May 27, 1941 in Greensburg; he was the son of the late Michael Phililps and Julia (Cavalier) Philips. Mike was a member of St. Vincent Basilica. A Veteran of the Vietnam War, he served in the Army. He was the co-owner of Cavcon Construction, Greensburg. Mike was a graduate of Clemson University and remained their biggest fan. He loved spending his spare time on the golf course and playing poker and Texas Hold’ em with the guys. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, John K. Elder.Mike is survived by his loving wife Connie (Elder) Philips; three daughters, Shay Edinger and her husband Stephen, Kristen Nyilas and her fiancé Gary Langton, and Wendy Testa and her husband Shannon; one son Ryan Giannini; five grandchildren, Salem, Joseph, Kaden, Sunny, and Grace; his mother-in-law, Catherine C. Elder; a brother-in-law, Jack Elder and his wife Anita; a niece, Casey Elder; a special uncle, Charles “Bozo” Phillips; a special friend Ted Wholin; and his little baby girl Cheyenne. John H. Piscar, 77, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was born June 4, 1941, in Greensburg, a son of the late Vincent and Mary (Christopher) Piscar. John had worked as a bookkeeper for the Westmoreland County Clerk of Courts, and also tended bar at the VFW Post 33, Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Emily Grace Maloney; a brother, Lance Corporal Vincent Piscar Jr.; and three sisters: Joan Piscar, Veronica Piscar and Rosalie D'Astolfo. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Bisher Piccar; two sons, Vincent Piscar, of Greensburg, and Johnny (Christy) Piscar, of Youngwood; a daughter, Lisa (Tim) Maloney, of Greensburg; 10 grandchildren, Joshua, Vincent, Mitchell and Alex Piscar, Jack, Seth and Brock Maloney and Nicole, Alyssa and Rebecca Piscar; a brother, John (Paulette) Panichella, of Jeannette; and his dogs, Bella and Oliver. John was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, including his many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Phyllis J. (Prioletto) Fligger, 73, of Greensburg, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born Oct. 22, 1941, in Greensburg, daughter of the late Philip and Helen Jean (Ragor) Prioletto. She was a member of Harrolds Zion Lutheran Church, Hempfield Township, and the Youngwood Sportsmen's Club. She retired from the Hempfield High School cafeteria in 2003. Surviving are three children, Mary C. Figlar and companion, Steve Evrard, of Pittsburgh, Barbara A. Kromka and companion, Wes Harr, of New Florence, and Earl W. Fligger Jr. and companion, Michele Bradosky, of New Alexander; a sister, Louise Jokola and husband, Don, of Norvelt; two granddaughters, Beth A. Kromka-Clark and husband, Jon Clark, of Hagerstown, Md., Ashley C. Figlar and fiance, Benjamin Veref, of Pittsburgh; two nieces, Amy Harbert and companion, Vince Crescenzo, of Butler, Dawn Marie Brennan and husband, Lenny, of Sarver; nephew, Scott Miller and wife, Alyssa, of Monroeville; three great-nephews, Benjamin and Dylan Brennan and Jace Upton; and two great-nieces, Caitlyn and Maegan Brennan. Richard W. Probst - Richard W. Probst , 54, formerly of Greensburg, the son of Sarah W. Probst and the late Arthur J Probst of Greensburg, Died in New York City, after a long illness. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Gretchen Dragoni of Terni, Italy and Mrs. Sarah K. Lynes of Englewood, Colo.; his brother Arthur J. Probst, Jr., of Richard, Va.; a nephew Andrew Lynes; a niece Alessandra Dragoni; and his long-time friend, Michael Kirn of New York City.

Mr. Probst graduated from Bucknell University with a B.A. degree and received his masters degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He began his career working for Young and Rubicam Advertising Agency in New York City, and later joined Buffet Crampon Musical Instrument Manufacturers or Paris, France and New York City. He then went on to Steinway and Sons, New York City, where he was closely associated with Vladimir Horowitz in the capacity of director of international artists and concerts. He was also associated with Shaw Concerts in New York City as vice president International Concert Artists, working in close coordination with operatic soprano Jesse Norman.

A memorial service will be held at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1120 Harvey Ave. Greensburg, on Monday at 1:30 p.m. Internment will be private.
